ARTISTS UNLIMITED

Artists Unlimited developed a new technology for streaming online live performances for artists and their fans. In this way, they helped a sector that had been hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The platform was used to programme online festivals, concerts and livestreams in collaboration with Antwerp concert halls, festivals and artists. This project had an impact on a large group of people, reuniting artists and fans. Its value has continued beyond the lockdown period. Artists Unlimited received financial support from the city to further develop this innovative project.

Artists Unlimited (AU!) launched the first Belgian live streaming festival during the COVID-19 pandemic. With 10 artists and 2000 tickets sold, the festival received a lot of press coverage and positive feedback. An important conclusion of this festival was that people are willing to pay for live streaming.

AU! continued to work on getting a streaming platform online.
