IT Pieces: using data visualisation as a marketing tool
What if the design of a clothing would be adaptable to a precisely calculated target group analysis? What if data were the basis of creativity? What if generative design systems could process business data and communicate this data to the outside world in a poetic way?
Under the guise of "being proud of your data and showing it", Flora Miranda offers the format "IT Pieces" as a marketing tool for companies. Data visualisation in the form of tenues for your team or merchandise for your customers are new ways of combining corporate identity with the technological design process. The first collaborations with companies in Belgium and abroad are currently being implemented.
What project did you submit to get support from the city of Antwerp?
Flora Miranda: "It was time to apply my creative idea and check the product-market fit. The financial support from the city enabled me to collaborate with six companies. I made a new creation for each of them and with them. One of the collaborations is with the Antwerp law firm Cresco. Every time they sign a new contract with a client, they can upload that contract into our software and a digital design, such as an image or an animation, is immediately and automatically created. Each job produces a different result. We can also use this data to create an art object or a scarf. Thanks to the support, I have been able to test my concept with different data, with different techniques and in different sectors. This is very valuable for the future of IT Pieces.
