Sustainability & ESG | Traceability for diamonds, from mine to finger

iTraceiT offers end-to-end traceability solutions, with a particular focus on the diamond and jewellery sector. In response to growing consumer demand for transparency and sustainability, the company provides a secure, user-friendly platform that uses blockchain and QR code technology.

When diamonds are mined in remote and small-scale mining regions such as the DR Congo,  traceability systems face many practical challenges such as inconsistent access to mobile phones and stable internet, and varying literacy levels among miners. Several technological and user experience challenges were addressed and a clickable wireframe was developed.

This project demonstrates the innovative spirit of the diamond and jewellery industry with regard to integrity and sustainability in the supply chain.

Automation & Robotics | Enhancing the performance of diamond laser cutting

Konfidi, a leading innovator in diamond laser processing infrastructure is committed to continuously optimising its product portfolio of laser cutting systems.

Several solutions covering multiple disciplines were explored o achieve greater precision and efficiency. With the support of external research laboratories, valuable insights into specific laser beam characteristics were obtained.

Obtaining valuable insights from experts was the key motivation for this innovation journey.

As the world’s longest-established diamond brokerage and consultancy firm, the Bonas Group plays an important role in the Antwerp diamond ecosystem. In 2024 alone, through they brought over 8 million carats of gemstones to market on behalf of mining companies through their global sales events.

The Bonas Group aims to generate fresh ideas and discover new avenues to further strengthen its market position and explore valuable directions. Based on their innovation framework, new insights and interesting areas were identified in the fields of data analysis, optimising the customer experience and exploring new strategic directions within adjacent segments of the diamond and jewellery ecosystem.

Digitalisation & Automation | Further digitalisation of processes for future business growth

Clarity Capital Finance (CCF) is a multi-seller trade receivables finance platform catering for the diamond industry, providing diamantaires with alternative financing.

As the Antwerp-based financial start-up’s daily operations involve extensive manual administrative work, CFF wanted to investigate how processes can be further digitalised and automated. Further digitalisation will enable the company to grow.

The most effective approach is to develop a custom digital platform that that will orchestrate the entire data flow. This platform will consist of a powerful back-end application to automate all business logic, as well as a modern web interface for administration.

The key to scaling up lies in further digitalisation and automation. Working with digital innovation consultants helped us to identify these building blocks.
